We happened upon Branscombe after randomly taking a turnoff from the main road and then following a sign for Beer. We liked the village so much that we stopped and decided to spent the night there in the local pub (upstairs in the rooms, not the whole night in the bar!) Beer turned out to be a village a bit further on.
